Electrical Engineer

Location: Port Talbot Site Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Up to A GBP 50,000 DOE (Overtime available at x1.5 on weekdays and x2 on weekends) Hours: Day and night shifts: 12 hours per shift (42.5 hours week 1 then 44hrs weeks ) Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a solid background in fast-paced manufacturing? This is a hands-on opportunity to be part of a dedicated maintenance team that supports 24/7 operations producing products for the personal care, healthcare, and pharmaceutical sectors. What You’ll Be Doing Planning and carrying out preventative maintenance Responding rapidly and efficiently to electrical breakdowns Diagnosing faults and performing timely repairs Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reports Ensuring compliance with site and statutory Health and Safety regulations What You’ll Need Essential Qualifications Time-served Electrical Apprenticeship 5 GCSEs (grades A:C) including English, Science and Maths (or equivalent) Experience in FMCG manufacturing environments Must have PIC programming experience Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work under pressure Desirable Qualifications HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering PLC experience (Siemens preferred) Counterbalance forklift license Your Skills and Attributes Quick-thinking and calm under pressure Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Organised, self-motivated and able to manage workload independently Excellent communicator at all levels Great attention to detail and time management Flexible and team-oriented: ready to step in wherever needed Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team Benefits Benefits include 4 pension, on site parking, annual medical checks, childcare vouchers and more.
