We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading engineering team in Dublin, Ireland, on a 12-month contract. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electrical design for building systems who is eager to contribute their expertise to complex, high-profile projects. Client Overview
Our client is a global engineering and project solutions leader, delivering innovative and sustainable designs across multiple sectors.
Responsibilities
- Organise, assign, and delegate engineering and design tasks to deliver construction documents in collaboration with the project team.
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule to meet objectives.
- Coordinate and collaborate in real time across disciplines for integrated designs.
- Take responsible charge for electrical design accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Analyse and design advanced building systems, including:Medium and low-voltage power systemsLighting, grounding, and process heating systemsStandby generation and UPS systems for critical power needsConduct site selection and due diligence activities.Perform field-based activities, including construction observation.Review construction submittals for compliance with design intent and contract requirements.Mentor and guide project electrical engineers and designers as needed.
Requirements
- Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ engineering design experience for building electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of IEC and local building/specialty codes.
- Excellent English communication skills - written and spoken.
Nice-to-have Skills
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in electrical design for buildings.
- Extensive experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing facility design.
- Knowledge of ATEX requirements.
- Understanding of semiconductor tool install and data centre design.
- Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
- Experience with electrical design tools such as EasyPower, ETAP, or SKM Power Tools.
