Electrical Engineer

A well-established engineering consultancy delivering multidisciplinary engineering services across the oil & gas, energy and industrial sectors. With a strong portfolio of Australian projects, they are seeking an experienced Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their growing Brisbane team.

Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you will support the design and delivery of electrical systems across a variety of energy and industrial projects. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and project teams to produce high-quality engineering solutions from design through to construction support.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical designs, calculations and engineering documentation.
• Develop single line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules and equipment specifications.
• Complete electrical studies using ETAP, SKM or similar software.
• Assist with power distribution, equipment sizing and motor control design.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and drafting personnel.
• Support procurement activities, vendor documentation reviews and technical evaluations.
• Provide engineering support during project execution and construction.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian and international standards.

Required skillset

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Eligible for or registered with Engineers Australia.
• 5-7 years' experience in electrical engineering within oil & gas, energy or industrial projects.
• Previous EPCM or engineering consultancy experience is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV power distribution systems and electrical design principles.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, Plant 3D or similar engineering software.
• Understanding of AS/NZS, IEC and IEEE standards.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
