Electrical Engineer Location: Dallas–Fort Worth (Hybrid/Remote Flexibility) Full time, Permanent Opportunity | Confirmed Hybrid flexibility Overview An established, privately owned engineering consultancy is seeking an Electrical Engineer (preferably PE) to support the design and delivery of electrical systems across residential (multi-family) and commercial projects. This role is suited to someone with strong technical expertise in electrical design, combined with the ability to manage projects, liaise with clients, and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Electrical Design: Develop designs for power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and low-voltage systems (e.g. fire alarms, communications). Code Compliance: Ensure all designs meet relevant standards (NEC, IES, and local codes). Load Analysis: Perform electrical load calculations and design efficient distribution systems. Lighting Design: Produce energy-efficient lighting layouts and controls aligned with IECC/LEED requirements. Coordination: Work closely with architects, contractors, and MEP disciplines to integrate systems into overall project designs. Documentation: Produce detailed drawings, specifications, and schedules using AutoCAD and Revit. Client Engagement: Interface directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.

Project Management: Oversee electrical scope, ensuring delivery to timeline, budget, and quality standards. Requirements Education & Licensing Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical design for multi-family residential and commercial projects Track record delivering high-quality, compliant designs on time and within budget Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Experience with electrical load calculation tools Familiarity with lighting design and energy compliance software Working knowledge of wider MEP disciplines Strong analytical and problem-solving capability Effective communication and stakeholder management Ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative environment Additional Information Must be based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area Hybrid/remote working flexibility available Licensed Professional Engineer (PE preferred)
