Role Overview
As an Electrical Engineer – Low Voltage (LV), you will be responsible for the design, development, and coordination of Low Voltage electrical systems for mission-critical Data Center and critical infrastructure projects.
The role involves working from concept design through IFC detailing, construction support, commissioning, and project handover while ensuring all LV systems are safe, reliable, energy-efficient, and fully integrated with Medium Voltage systems, UPS, generators, protection systems, and all other engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Development
You will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing Low Voltage electrical systems for Data Centers, including:
- LV Distribution Boards
- Busbars
- PDUs
- Lighting Systems
- Socket Outlets
- Earthing Systems
- Surge Protection Systems
- Sizing and specifying:
- Cables
- Circuit Breakers
- RCDs
- Protection Relays
- LV Switchgear
- Producing and managing:
- Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs)
- Electrical Schematics
- Cable Schedules
- Load Lists
- using EPLAN and Revit.
- Conducting electrical studies including:
- Protection Coordination
- Selectivity Studies
- Arc Flash Analysis
- Voltage Drop Calculations
- using ETAP or equivalent software.
- Ensuring efficient integration between:
- LV Systems
- UPS
- Generators
- ATS/STS
- Mission-Critical Power Infrastructure
- Developing lighting designs using DIALux or equivalent software.
- Ensuring compliance with:
- ABNT/NBR Standards
- IEC
- IEEE
- NFPA 70E
- Client Technical Requirements
Coordination & Integration
- Coordinate LV design with:
- Medium Voltage (MV)
- Mechanical
- Civil
- Architectural
- IT disciplines
- Work closely with BIM Coordinators to ensure clash-free, coordinated electrical models.
- Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings and technical design reviews.
- Review RFIs, design changes, and site technical queries.
Construction & Commissioning Support
- Provide technical support during construction.
- Participate in:
- Site Inspections
- Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Review shop drawings and material submittals.
- Support commissioning, energization, and preparation of As-Built documentation.
Technical Responsibilities
- Approve Low Voltage design packages.
- Validate technical specifications and calculation reports.
- Review equipment selection.
- Identify technical risks and design deviations.
- Develop technical solutions for complex electrical engineering challenges.
- Issue ARTs (Technical Responsibility Annotations) where legally required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Active CREA Registration (mandatory for practicing in Brazil).
- Certifications in Electrical Installations, Low Voltage Systems, or Data Centers are considered an advantage.

- N+1 and 2N redundancy concepts
- Tier Classification (Uptime Institute)
Experience with DCIM tools and Power Monitoring Systems will be an added advantage.
Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in:
- Low Voltage Electrical Design
- Critical Infrastructure
- Data Centers
- High-complexity Industrial Facilities
- Proven experience preparing:
- Single-Line Diagrams
- Electrical Schematics
- Cable Schedules
- Calculation Reports
- Experience coordinating with Mechanical, Civil, IT and Medium Voltage teams.
- Experience supporting commissioning activities including FAT, SAT and As-Built documentation.
- Intermediate to Advanced English for collaboration with international teams.
