Electrical Engineer

Overview

As an Electrical Engineer at Arup, you contribute to sustainable building design by developing concepts and detailed electrical solutions. You’ll work within a cross-disciplinary Building Engineering team to deliver low-carbon, high‑performing spaces. You’ll engage in sizing, cost estimation, and tender support while coordinating with energy, façade, and structural colleagues.

• Develop innovative electrical engineering concepts and designs
• Size and calculate electrical engineering components
• Support tendering and procurement activities
• Assist with cost calculations and estimates
• Coordinate with energy design, façade and structural engineering, building physics, fire safety and project management
• Collaborate with project stakeholders and contractors

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable qualification
• 2–3 years post-qualification experience in a similar role
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering systems
• Basic knowledge of local standards and regulations
