Job DescriptionOur client are looking to hire an Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Technicianfor their Pharma project in Limerick. Qualifications and Experience Time-served engineering technical qualification, Level 6 SOLAS Advanced Craft Certificate, technical degree or diploma, or equivalent. Minimum of three years of electrical and instrumentation maintenance experience, preferably within a pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, medical-device, or similarly regulated environment.
Demonstrated hands-on experience in instrumentation calibration within a GMP-regulated facility. Practical experience calibrating temperature, pressure, flow, level, conductivity, pH, weighing, analytical, and control-valve instrumentation. Experience using calibration or maintenance management systems such as Beamex, Fluke MET/TEAM, SAP PM, Maximo, or another CMMS.
Strong understanding of calibration principles, accuracy, tolerance, measurement uncertainty, traceability, and out-of-tolerance assessment. Knowledge of relevant calibration and quality standards, including ISO/IEC 17025 principles and GMP data-integrity expectations. Experience using multifunction/documenting process calibrators, pressure sources, temperature baths or dry-blocks, electrical test equipment, and HART communicators.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, instrument data sheets, and manufacturer manuals. Knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and field-control systems, including I/O verification and basic control-loop troubleshooting. Competence in electrical fault finding using appropriate diagnostic tools and safe systems of work.
