EDM Developer

Job Type: Full Time Immediate Interview Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Markit EDM Developer / Lead with 10+ years of experience to lead the design, development, and optimization of our Security Master data platform on Markit EDM. This role will be responsible for architecting scalable data management solutions that support the ingestion, mastering, matching, and distribution of high quality financial reference data across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Markit EDM architecture and development, along with strong experience working with large multi‑asset security master datasets sourced from leading financial data vendors such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and ICE.

The role involves designing robust data models, orchestrating complex workflows, implementing data quality frameworks, and managing exception handling mechanisms to ensure accurate and reliable data delivery across downstream systems. In addition to hands‑on development, this role will involve technical leadership, solution architecture, and mentoring junior developers, while collaborating closely with data engineering teams, operations, and business stakeholders to enhance the organization’s enterprise data management ecosystem. The candidate will also play a key role in improving data governance, scalability, and performance of the EDM platform.

Experience And Required Skill Sets 10+ years of experience in software development, with strong exposure to enterprise data management platforms Extensive hands‑on experience in Markit EDM, including Core, Advanced, and UI components Strong expertise working with Markit EDM modules, such as Data Porter, Data Flow Rules, Process Launcher, Data Matcher, Rule Builder, Data Constructor, and View Builders Proven experience in designing, developing, and managing end‑to‑end EDM workflows, including data ingestion, transformation, mastering, matching, and exception handling Strong experience in building and maintaining Security Master data models supporting large multi‑asset class datasets Hands‑on experience integrating and managing financial data vendor feeds such as Bloomberg (SAPI, Backoffice, DL), Refinitiv, and ICE Strong understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, validation rules, reconciliation, data lineage, and monitoring frameworks Experience in designing scalable EDM architectures and optimizing data workflows for performance and reliability Strong expertise in SQL (SQL Server and/or Oracle) including complex queries and performance tuning Experience with version control tools such as Git Exposure to Python and/or C#.Net for automation or integration is a plus Experience working in capital markets or financial services environments with reference data platforms Good To Have Team leadership or people management experience Experience mentoring junior developers and guiding technical implementation Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills Ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders including business, operations, and data teams Strong interest in data management, financial data, and enterprise data platforms Education Bachelor’s degree or master’s in computer science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant field. #J-18808-Ljbffr
