Role Description The Economics Teacher and Examiner (IBDP) will deliver high-quality International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Economics lessons, using varied pedagogical approaches that encourage critical thinking and inquiry. Responsibilities include designing and implementing lesson plans, preparing learners for internal and external assessments, setting and grading assignments, tests, and examinations, and providing timely, constructive feedback. The role involves contributing to curriculum development, participating in departmental and school-wide meetings, maintaining accurate academic records, and supporting learners’ overall well-being and academic progress.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring regular collaboration with colleagues, active participation in professional development, and engagement with families as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong subject knowledge and teaching ability in Economics and Business Economics, with experience in the IBDP or similar international curricula.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum design, with the ability to create engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences.
- Demonstrated skills in Teaching and Education, including classroom management, differentiation, and assessment for learning.
- Relevant academic qualifications, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Business Economics, or Education, and a recognized teaching certification.
- Experience as an examiner or assessor for IBDP or equivalent programs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural school community.
