DZ Truck Driver

Summary: As an DZ Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering merchandise to various locations with multiple stops per day and returning home daily. You will ensure the safe and timely delivery of products while adhering to transportation regulatory compliance.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, 2 Saturday(s) a month from 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM

Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $30 to $32 per hour, with overtime times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $54,600 and $71,600 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently deliver flooring, countertop, wall tile, and hardscaping products to local destinations, making multiple stops per day, with occasional overnight runs as required.
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring materials are properly secured using blocks, straps, chains, and binders.
• Operate company vehicles with a strong focus on road safety and compliance with Commercial Vehicle Operator Registration (CVOR) regulations.
• Accurately maintain a legal and up-to-date logbook in accordance with Hours of Service requirements.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate patience, courtesy, and professionalism with other drivers and customers.
• Adapt to changing road and delivery conditions while maintaining a customer-first mindset.
• Work independently while maintaining high standards for safety and service quality.
• Provide outstanding customer service during each delivery.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:

• High School Education is preferred.
• One (1) year of verifiable driving experience.
• 1 year of verifiable driving experience with heavy duty vehicles.
• Must be able to pass a skilled test (driving test).
• Must be able to pass CVOR pre-employment requirements.
• Bilingual plus, but not necessary.
• Must possess a Valid Class DZ CDL.
• Driver abstract and CVOR report required.

This role has the following physical demands:

• Generate 137lbs of vertical push/pull force.
• Able to lift and transfer 55lbs.
• Able to carry at least 30lbs the length of the truck bed.
• Able to ascend and descend multiple-rung ladder.
• Able to frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch.
• Able to work at elevated height of 72” above the ground while assembling and disassembling strap, ties, ratchets, nuts, bolts, and other securing or fastening equipment.
• Able to work at lowered height of 6” above the ground while assembling and disassembling strap, ties, ratchets, nuts, bolts, and other securing or fastening equipment.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.
