Director Revenue Accounting

About Our Client

Manager, Revenue Accounting leads accurate, timely revenue recognition and reporting in accordance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and company policies. This role partners closely with Finance, Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, and Operations to evaluate complex contracts, strengthen controls, and support a scalable order-to-cash process.

About the Opportunity

• Manage month-end revenue close, reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting.
• Review customer contracts and assess revenue-recognition treatment for complex arrangements.
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15, internal accounting policies, and audit requirements.
• Lead revenue-related balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, Billing, and Deal Desk on new products, pricing, contract terms, and non-standard deals.
• Maintain and improve revenue accounting policies, documentation, processes, and internal controls.
• Support external audit requests, including preparation of schedules and technical accounting memos.
• Oversee revenue systems and automation initiatives; identify process improvements.
• Coach and develop revenue accounting staff.
• Support forecasting and management reporting with revenue insights.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent designation preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and revenue-recognition principles.
• Experience with ERP and revenue automation systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Zuora).
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience leading or mentoring team members preferred.
