2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants The Director of Nursing (DON) provides strategic and operational leadership for nursing services across Infinite Recovery’s Cedar Park and Buda facilities. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high‑quality, and compliant care within residential, detox and outpatient settings. The DON leads all nursing personnel, oversees training and performance management, ensures regulatory and accreditation compliance, and collaborates with the COO and Medical Director to maintain excellence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide direct oversight and leadership for all nursing operations at the Cedar Park and Buda campuses Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, fostering accountability and professional growth. Ensure all nursing activities align with Infinite Recovery policies, Joint Commission standards, and applicable state regulations. Partner with the COO and Medical Director to ensure seamless coordination across programs and continuity of care.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and continuing education for nursing personnel in collaboration with Human Resources. Conduct regular chart audits, infection control reviews, and medication administration (MAR) audits to maintain compliance and quality standards. Coordinate admission and discharge processes in partnership with the Admissions and Detox Services team.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Lead or participate in incident reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary team meetings. Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and training specifically for detox, residential, and outpatient care.
Provide mentorship and leadership for charge nurses and nursing supervisors across both campuses. Maintain accountability for staffing coverage, scheduling, and departmental communication across sites. NECESSARY EXPERIENCE Director of Nursing: 1 year preferred Supervising Experience: 1 year required Medical Detox/Recovery: 1 year Knowledge of computer EMR systems and competence with a variety of computer software applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) COWS and CIWA Assessment CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing required Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration preferred QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. COMPUTER SKILLS Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Suite, and ability to chart on an electronic medical records system. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision. WORK ENVIRONMENT Environment is usually moderate.
SCHEDULE Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm Weekend rotation for coverage at Cedar Park (typically once every 6 weeks) Available by phone after hours during the week as needed.
