Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Director of Nursing at the Bushwick Center for Rehabilitation & Health Care, located in Brooklyn, NY. The Director of Nursing will oversee all aspects of nursing operations, including supervising the nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and implementing effective patient care strategies.
Daily responsibilities include managing care plans, overseeing infection control procedures, mentoring staff, and fostering a culture of excellence in patient care within a long‑term care facility. The role also requires collaboration with medical staff and administration to maintain delivery standards and optimize care outcomes. Qualifications Proven expertise in Nursing Management and the ability to lead and mentor a nursing team effectively Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience in Infection Control protocols and standards A solid foundation in Medicine and clinical practices to support care decisions and staff guidance Comprehensive understanding of Nursing practices, including patient care planning and assessment Experience in Long‑term Care, with an ability to develop and implement strategies for improving resident outcomes Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills Proficiency in healthcare regulations, policies, and quality improvement practices BSN degree required; MSN or related advanced degree preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
