Director of finance- 12+ months

Our client, a small publicly traded technology company, is seeking a Director of Finance to join the organization on a 12+ month maternity leave contract.  The role is located in Pickering but will only require someone to be onsite once a month.

Responsibilities Lead all day-to-day finance and accounting operations. Oversee the full accounting cycle, including month-end, year-end, and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and public company reporting requirements. Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. Supervise a small finance team, including a Payroll Administrator and a Senior Accountant. Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insight and strategic support. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting Coordinate annual audits and ensure regulatory compliance. Qualifications

CPA or other recognized accounting designation. Strong controllership experience with full-cycle accounting expertise. Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work effectively in a lean organization. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach. Experience working with ERP systems.
