For our Client – an international organization operating in the defence and advanced technology sector – we are seeking an experienced leader to take on the role of Director of Business Development & Sales.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the growth of a company delivering innovative solutions for the defence industry. The position combines strategic leadership, commercial responsibility, and direct influence on the development of long‑term partnerships and high‑value projects.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development and sales strategies in line with corporate objectives
- Identify new business opportunities, target customers, strategic partners, and market segments
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to support executive decision‑making
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key customers and business partners
- Lead commercial activities, including bid management, negotiations, and contract finalization
- Define sales objectives and monitor business performance against targets
- Support the development of new products and services based on customer and market needs
- Prepare business, financial, and strategic reports for senior management and headquarters
- Evaluate business initiatives, investment opportunities, and ROI
- Lead and develop the sales team while managing key customer relationships
Employer requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in strategy, business development, or sales within a leading defence organization with a comparable portfolio of products and services.
- Strong understanding of the defence industry, its regulations, procurement environment, and key market players
- Proven track record of business development and sales success in the Polish market
- Experience working within an international organization and reporting to headquarters
- Previous people management experience
- Ability to translate strategic objectives into operational actions and measurable results
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills
- Results‑driven, self‑motivated, and capable of making independent decisions
- Security clearance at Confidential level (or higher), or willingness to undergo the clearance process
