PositionProfile
The Director Finance Accounting & Reporting isresponsible for transactional Finance functions within WACHS: FixedAssets, General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. The role is also responsible for Treasury, Statutory Reporting, Taxand Policy functions. This position ensures the consistentapplication of financial policies, financial reporting practicesand overall service delivery, across the WACHSorganisation.

The suitability requirements below are derived fromthe Job Description Form and define what will be assessed todetermine your suitability for the role:
- Tertiary qualification inAccounting, Finance, Economics or statistics or extensiveexperience deemed equivalent.
- Extensive experience inthe delivery of financial services in a large and complexorganisation. Including undertaking Cash Flow and StatutoryReporting functions.
- Proven experience inleading and managing various teams; both centrally located andacross multiple sites.
- Proven experience inpreparation of Statutory Financial Reports.
- Highly developedinterpersonal, consultation and negotiation skills and ademonstrated ability to influence people in the achievement ofobjectives. This includes the ability to provide contextuallyappropriate, objective, and impartial advice.
- Demonstrated ability inimplementing and managing change; with a focus on fostering aculture of continuous improvement and development.
- Highly developedanalytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with a provenability to provide effective solutions to complex issues in acontemporary financial management context.
- Current knowledge oflegislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of EqualOpportunity, Disability Services and Work, Health & Safety, andhow these impact on employment, people management and servicedelivery.
