We’re hiring: Digital Painting Educator
Artma Creative Society is looking for a patient, structured, and engaging educator who can make digital painting approachable for absolute beginners.
This is an education-first role. Strong teaching ability, clear communication, learner empathy, and a willingness to understand Artma’s curriculum are essential. Experience in digital painting or a related creative field is an advantage.
Work mode: Remote / Work from home
Employment: Full-time
Salary: ₹30,000–₹45,000 per month
️ Schedule: Six days a week, including weekends, with a weekday off
Experience: 2–3 years in teaching, training, tutoring, curriculum development, or education
Reporting to: Venkatesh Paspureddi, Founder, Artma

Founded by artist and educator Venkatesh Paspureddi, an alumnus of IIM Kozhikode, Artma combines structured courses, live teaching, demonstrations, critiques, recordings, and long-term community support.

What you’ll do
• Deliver engaging, beginner-friendly online lessons
• Explain unfamiliar concepts in simple, practical stages
• Demonstrate digital painting techniques clearly and adapt the pace to different learners
• Give constructive feedback through critiques and paintovers
• Prepare lesson plans, exercises, references, practice drills, and recap material
• Track student participation, assignments, progress, and support requirements
• Assist with live workshops, recorded lessons, worksheets, and community sessions
• Collaborate with the Artma team to strengthen the curriculum and learning experience
The goal is to help learners develop both the understanding and confidence to create artwork independently.
What you may teach
• Art fundamentals: line, shape, form, value, colour, light, perspective, composition, and visual thinking
• Digital workflows: drawing tablets, brushes, layers, selections, masks, blending, and file organisation
• Software such as Photoshop, Procreate, ibisPaint, Fresco, or Clip Studio Paint
• Characters, portraits, landscapes, critiques, and paintovers
• Practical AI-assisted workflows that complement artistic judgement
Who we’re looking for
• 2–3 years of experience in teaching, tutoring, training, curriculum development, or education
• Experience may come from a school, college, institute, academy, online platform, workshop, or private teaching setting
• Clear communication and facilitation skills
• Ability to simplify concepts for absolute beginners
• A patient, organised, dependable, and empathetic teaching style
• Comfort using Zoom or Google Meet, presentation tools, and basic online-classroom systems
• Good spoken English and Hindi
• Availability for a full-time, six-day schedule that includes weekends and may include evening sessions
Added advantages
• Experience in digital painting, illustration, design, animation, publishing, advertising, gaming, or a related creative field
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Procreate, ibisPaint, Fresco, Clip Studio Paint, or similar tools
• A portfolio of artwork, teaching material, curriculum, lesson samples, or student work
• Education in fine arts, design, animation, education, instructional design, or a related discipline
• Experience teaching art fundamentals or developing structured course content
• Familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools

What Artma offers
