Job Description

Role Overview We are looking for a collaborative and experienced professional to join the Children’s and Young People Development team at Oldham Heritage, Libraries & Arts. In this role you will help to design and deliver a range of programmes and activities for children and young people across the service. Within the integrated HLA service, this role works across a number of libraries as well as with the collections and exhibitions at Gallery Oldham.

Key Responsibilities To support the development of Heritage, Libraries & Arts (HLA) Service to deliver a dynamic, flexible Library and Museum service that meets the needs and aspirations of the local community To participate in the development of a range of inclusive and diverse innovative programmes, including organising and running events and activities that support formal and informal learning. To support and promote national education, health, digital, literacy, heritage and creative initiatives Key Requirements To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum: Experience of planning and delivering a programme of events and activities for young people Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, ICT, interpersonal and motivational) Ability to assess customer needs and deliver services appropriate to that need Benefits package 25 days annual leave which increases after 5 and 10-years’ service The option to purchase additional annual leave.
