About the role

As a Development Engineer in the Roads & Drains team, you will help assess development and subdivision applications across Kingston, ensuring civil and drainage infrastructure meets Council standards and legislative requirements.

You will:

• Assess planning permit applications and engineering plans
• Review drainage designs, catchment calculations, and stormwater management solutions
• Provide advice on Legal Point of Discharge and Build Over Easement applications
• Conduct site inspections and provide engineering advice to developers, residents, and internal stakeholders

Your Skills and Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Registration as an Engineer in Victoria
• Knowledge of the Subdivision Act, Building Regulations, Planning and Environment Act, and related legislation
• Ability to assess drainage networks and prepare clear technical reports and correspondence
• Sound organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence
