About The Role
Daikin Australia is excited to have an opportunity to onboard a Design Engineer in our R&D team. This role will perform air conditioner design & verification work from concept generation to production release.
As a Design Engineer, you will be reporting to Rooftop Team Leader in applying engineering knowledge and experience to designing and developing air conditioner systems to support why Daikin Australia strives to lead innovation from the front & contribute to society with world-leading technologies.
This role will be provided with ongoing mentorship and professional development, enabling you to progressively take on responsibilities including developing and maintaining technical specifications, and actively participating in product value engineering initiatives to improve product performance, quality, manufacturability, and cost competitiveness.
About You
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related education to Air Conditioning
- Familiar with 3D design tools such as SolidEdge or NX
- Previous hands-on experience in the Air Conditioning Industry is highly regarded
- Good understanding of air conditioning components designs and selection is highly regarded
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of bill-of-material and cost structure of products
- Actively participating in product value engineering, and contributing to idea generation and project management
- Full working rights in Australia
