The role is part of the Corporate Strategy-Investments/ Mergers & Acquisitions team at Tata Communications Ltd. The Corporate Development team at Tata Communications Ltd. is instrumental in advancing the company's strategic goals through targeted investments, mergers, acquisitions, and divestments. This team identifies and evaluates high-value opportunities, performs comprehensive due diligence, and execute strategic deals that align with the company s vision for growth.
By leveraging market insights and collaborating across departments, the Corporate Development team ensures Tata Communications Ltd. optimizes its portfolio, capitalizes on emerging trends, and strengthens its competitive position in the telecommunications sector. Objectives : To support the M&A team in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic acquisition and merger opportunities that align with the company s growth objectives. Key Responsibilities Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market and industry analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and strategic partnership opportunities.
Financial Analysis: Perform financial modelling, valuation, and forecasting to assess the financial viability of potential deals. Due Diligence: Coordinate and execute due diligence processes, including reviewing business capabilities, financial statements, legal documents, and operational metrics. Deal Execution & negotiation: Assist in the preparation of business case and drafting of agreements, and other documentation required for deal negotiations and presentations to leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external advisors (consultants, investment banks) to support transaction execution. Reporting: Prepare and present detailed analysis and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Post merger Integration: Support the integration process post-transaction for successful assimilation of acquired businesses into the company s operations.
Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree from a top-tier institution in a relevant discipline is preferred Desired Experience Level: 6 years +
