Description\n

Derbarl Yerrigan is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dentist to join our practice in Perth, Western Australia, mainly based at our largest clinic in East Perth & our brand new clinic in Midland. This part-time Maximum Term role is ideal for a Dentist looking to provide high-quality preventative, restorative & emergency dental care at an Aboriginal Medical Service.

\n

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing patient health and wellbeing through comprehensive dental services.

Responsibilities:\n

\n
• Conduct thorough dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health issues.
\n
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans for patients.
\n
• Perform a range of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, and preventative care.
\n
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
\n
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
\n
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques.
\n

Qualifications:\n

\n
• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent qualification.
\n
• Current AHPRA registration as a General Dentist.
\n
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a dentist in general practice.
\n
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal cultural issues impacting on health.
\n
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
\n
• Commitment to continuing professional development and staying abreast of industry trends.
\n
• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
\n
• Previous experience in Aboriginal Healthcare.
\n
• Experience using Dental4Windows patient management software.
\n

Appointment Prerequisites\n

• Provision of the minimum identity proofing requirements.
\n
• Successful Criminal Record Screening Clearance.
\n
• Successful Pre-Employment Health Assessment.
\n
• Successful Working with Children Check.
\n
• Evidence of current C or C-A Class driver’s license or other specialised license class.
\n
