This is a senior, client-facing role. You will also work closely with the Chief of Staff, translating strategy into delivery and keeping execution on track across the client portfolio.

You will bring your own networks and credibility in the UK defence market, and love working directly with clients, making their market entry easier, faster, and more informed. This role combines programme and project leadership and direct engagement with UK Defence stakeholders. You will help shape, build and deliver BMNT’s go-to-market propositions, be the first point of contact for clients, and be comfortable operating independently while working closely with a team.

Client Delivery and Account Management

  • Own the day-to-day management of client accounts across the defence portfolio, serving as a senior point of contact and holding responsibility for delivery against client commitments.
  • Manage and track multiple client workstreams at once, ensuring work is delivered on time and to each customer's specifications.
  • Represent BMNT directly in client meetings, leading the agenda and converting outcomes into clear actions and next steps.
  • Set the standard for client-facing deliverables as both first drafter and final owner, producing initial drafts and signing off accuracy, consistency, and quality before outputs reach the customer.

Programme and Project Leadership

  • Lead (and support where appropriate) the design, planning, and delivery of defence projects and innovation initiatives.
  • Own milestones, dependencies, and risks across the portfolio, ensuring accountability and follow-through.
  • Provide project management leadership across the team, including deliverable tracking, drafting, and workload balancing.
  • Engage confidently with senior stakeholders across Defence, MoD, and industry to advance capability development and policy engagement.

Systems,Tooling and Process

  • Quickly become proficient in BMNT’s operational systems, including the team’s CRM, Airtable, and related tools.
  • Keep project and operational data accurate, current, and actionable, and drive automation where it improves delivery.

Liaison and Communication

  • Act as a trusted bridge between strategy and implementation, both internally and externally.
  • Draft and deliver clear, professional written communications, including reports, updates, and executive correspondence.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across UK Defence, government, and industry partners.

What We Are Looking For

  • Five to ten years of experience, with a track record of leading delivery, or managing client accounts or programmes, in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage up.
  • Strong understanding of procurement and acquisition.
  • Prior experience in an engineering or technically demanding role is essential; candidates should be comfortable engaging with technical detail and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience owning complex client-facing projects or programmes end-to-end.
  • A firm grasp of UK Defence from both directions: how individual stakeholders and single Services operate, and how the wider enterprise and its agencies connect. A strong understanding of the UK Defence environment is required. We welcome veterans, former civil servants, and those coming from the Defence market.
  • Excellent written English, with the confidence to draft a client-ready report, brief or policy note at first pass.
  • A natural external operator who builds trust quickly and holds an instinct for client service.
  • Proficiency with collaborative tools such as Airtable, Excel, SharePoint, or CRM systems.
  • Organised and proactive, able to distill large volumes of information into succinct, actionable insight while managing competing priorities.
  • Security clearance, SC desirable. If not obtained, eligibility to hold UKSC is essential.

  • 28 days annual leave plus UK bank holidays
  • Private health insurance and workplace pension
  • Direct exposure to senior clients, government officials, and strategic decision-making
  • Scope to develop your own extensive network and subject-matter authority
