Data Governance Analyst

Location: 1111 Louisiana St, Houston, TX 77002 Hybrid: 4 days onsite and 1 day remote Pay Rate: $50-63/hr (dependent on experience, room for potential flex as well!) Duration: 6 month contract to potential hire W2 contract Paid x1.5 for overtime Overview Insight Global is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support one of our largest Energy/Utility clients within their Data Analytics organization. This organization is in the early stages of prioritizing data quality and governance, and they are looking for a strong data governance analyst to help with these initiatives. Having built out their framework last year, they now need to establish a foundation using Atlan for data discovery, cataloging, and governance + Monte Carlo for the data quality.

This will eventually be rolled out to end users. As the governance environment matures, the organization plans to implement AI initiatives that can only be started once the governance is completed. Lastly, you are working side by side with data analytics teams that are supporting individual lines of business; however, the group you are working in will support all company data.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Analytics and Data Management. Collaborating with a team of data engineers, data quality analysts, and other data governance analysts. Conducting data discovery and cataloging using Atlan.

Ensuring data quality and integrity across various data sources. Developing and maintaining data governance policies and procedures. Creating and managing data documentation and metadata.

Implementing data governance frameworks and best practices. Monitoring compliance with data governance policies. Assisting in the rollout of data governance tools and processes to end users.

Must Haves 5-10 years of professional data governance experience. Knowledge of or experience with the data governance tools Atlan and Monte Carlo. Proficient in SQL.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Note Other data tools could be Collibra, Informatica, Alation, and others. #J-18808-Ljbffr
