Job Description
A leading gaming technology organization is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with Microsoft Fabric expertise to support a strategic platform modernization and AI enablement initiative. This is a contract role of at least 6 months and will require primarily on-site presence in Las Vegas , with some hybrid flexibility. Role Overview The successful candidate will play a key technical role across three strategic workstreams: Support implementation of Copilot-style assistants and agentic AI workflows Contribute to the development of AI-driven revenue, yield, and commercial optimisation models Enable production deployment of modern generative AI-enabled analytics solutions 2.
Data Platform Modernization Design and build solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem , with strong focus on Microsoft Fabric lakehouse architecture Develop scalable batch and streaming ingestion pipelines Integrate Kafka-based event streaming into cloud data platforms Support modernization and migration of legacy data assets into the new platform 3. Commercial & Marketing Analytics Enablement Build semantic data models and curated datasets for Power BI reporting Enable advanced CRM, customer insight, and digital marketing analytics Support lead generation, customer lifecycle, and revenue performance optimisation initiatives Required Experience Strong hands-on background as a Data Engineer or Platform Engineer Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and modern lakehouse design Proven implementation experience with Kafka or equivalent streaming technologies Advanced skills in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT pipeline development Preferred Background Experience in gaming, entertainment, hospitality, or high-volume transactional environments Exposure to production AI/ML deployment or intelligent analytics platforms Location Hybrid working may be possible but in-office collaboration will be expected.
