Data Analyst

Location: Ottawa Language: English required Security clearance: Reliability required We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Data Modeler for a long‑term engagement running from June 2026 to May 2027 , requiring Reliability Status clearance . This role sits within an enterprise data environment supporting Data Solutions Operations (DSO) , where the successful candidate will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical data teams, translating business requirements into scalable, well‑governed data products on an enterprise data platform. Ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in data analysis and data modeling , with strong hands‑on expertise in SQL programming (7+ years) , data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical) , and ETL design and development , including reverse engineering legacy systems such as DataStage .

The role requires deep experience across modern data ecosystems, including Azure Data Platform , Databricks medallion architecture , Python , and Apache Spark , along with a strong understanding of data integration, data lineage, and source‑to‑target mapping . The candidate will be responsible for producing high‑quality design artifacts , including data flows, mapping documents, and solution blueprints aligned with enterprise data governance and architecture standards . Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, along with the ability to clearly document requirements and support solution sign‑off.

Experience with Agile delivery environments , CI/CD practices , Denodo , Power BI , and data modeling tools such as erWin will be considered strong assets.
