Job Description

Job Responsibilities Define and develop AI tools for system engineering processes. Understand internal customers' needs to properly utilize AI to optimize system engineering processes. Create specifications and test scenarios for developed AI features.

Support R&D project team engineers and researchers with technical evaluation of technologies. Conduct scientific deep dives, application analysis, manufacturability, market, and cost factors associated with evaluated technologies. Plan, execute, and coordinate R&D programs with internal and external R&D departments, suppliers, institutions, and academia.

Evaluate technologies for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements. Support development of creative components from concept through validation, prototyping, testing, and business case evaluation. Design and conduct research programs using principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, electronics, heat transfer, and materials.

Generate innovative product and process ideas while collaborating across the team. Manage project schedules, monitor progress, coordinate activities, sequence tasks, and resolve issues. Specify and coordinate subcontracted work and ensure timely completion.

Collaborate with project engineers to resolve design challenges and provide engineering support to other departments. Maintain technical expertise by continuous learning and staying current with R&D developments. Compensation Salary: $125,000 – $165,000 annually.

Qualifications Master's or higher degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electrical, Aerospace, Robotics, or related fields). 5+ years of experience, including Ph.D. research or industry experience in software, machine learning, generative AI, or AI. Experience in automotive OEM or Tier‑1 environments preferred. Robust spoken and written English language skills.

Proficiency in Python programming. Experience in prompting techniques. Proficiency in agentic AI frameworks such as CrewAI, LangGraph, or similar.
