Data Analyst

Our client in the insurance space is seeking a contract based Business Systems Analyst to support ongoing data extract operations, enhancements, and issue resolution, working closely with developers, database analysts, and stakeholders in a Kanban delivery model. Location: Remote, with potential to move to hybrid in month 3 Duration: 6 months Responsibilities Gather and document requirements for new data extracts and enhancements to existing extracts Analyze and troubleshoot data extract issues including validation errors, execution failures, timing, and delivery Collaborate with developers and DBAs to optimize query performance and extract efficiency Support ongoing application and data extract operations within defined SLAs and timelines Ensure proper logging, monitoring, and notification mechanisms are implemented and maintained Participate in Agile/Kanban ceremonies and contribute to backlog refinement and prioritization Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely data delivery Requirements 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst/Data Analyst in data-focused environments Strong hands‑on experience with SQL, databases, and data modeling Experience working with ETL tools and data extract processes Proven experience in application support and production issue troubleshooting Solid understanding of Agile methodologies , particularly Kanban Experience working with SLAs, deadlines, and operational support environments Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills Nice-to-Have: Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) Familiarity with MoveIT or similar managed file transfer tools Experience working in similar environments or alongside comparable profiles (e.g., senior data BAs) #J-18808-Ljbffr
