Data Analyst

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Data Analyst for a full-time, 14-month term opportunity with its Ottawa-based customer. Work Location Ottawa, ON (Hybrid/1 day per week onsite) Key Tasks Gather, clean, and analyze complaints and business data to support core performance metrics Develop actionable insights to improve decision-making and operational efficiency Extract and manipulate data using SQL and other data tools Design, build, and maintain dashboards using Tableau or Power BI Create and deliver reports using enterprise tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Conduct data mining, statistical analysis, and trend identification Support preparation of mid-year and annual reports Automate reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions Present analytical findings in a clear, concise manner to support business strategy Contribute to special projects as assigned Key Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with data tools and analytics (SQL + Power BI + SSRS + Advanced Excel): Ability to extract, analyze, and visualize data using SQL and BI tools is core to the role. Minimum 2 years of experience Data Analytics: Analyzing data to generate insight Experience with story telling with data: Communicating insights to the Business/Executives Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field Strong experience working with SQL and data querying Hands‑on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI Experience with statistical analysis and data interpretation Strong understanding of databases and data warehouse concepts Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy Proven ability to work independently and take initiative Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills Experience with enterprise reporting tools (e.g., SSRS) Assets Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset Experience in telecommunications or television industry is an asset Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R is an asset Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 LeverageTek is an equal opportunity employer.
