Customer Support Agent
Assistant Launch
Job Description
Assistant Launch connects top LATAM talent with US-based founders and executives. We're hiring a Customer Support Agent to be the frontline voice for a US client — handling inbound/outbound support with speed, warmth, and real ownership. This is a junior-to-mid level role for someone who's done the reps in a call center environment and is ready to work independently, without a supervisor checking every ticket.
What You'll Do
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat with a friendly, solution-first tone
- Troubleshoot issues end-to-end — own the problem until it's resolved, not just until it's "escalated"
- Log and track cases accurately in the client's CRM/helpdesk system
- Identify patterns in recurring issues and flag them proactively to the client
- Use AI tools to work faster and smarter
- Manage your own workload and schedule within agreed hours — no one is watching over your shoulder
Example of what "ownership" looks like in practice: A customer writes in frustrated because a refund hasn't posted. Instead of just replying "I've forwarded this to billing," you check the transaction status yourself, give the customer a real timeline, and follow up proactively two days later to confirm it's resolved — without being asked to.
Requirements
What You Bring
- 1–3 years of call center or customer support experience (phone-based support strongly preferred)
- C1 English level — you'll be the voice of a US company
- Strong independent work habits: you don't need daily hand-holding to hit your targets
- Comfort using AI tools in daily workflow
- Reliable internet, a quiet workspace, and your own equipment
- A calm, patient communication style, even with difficult customers
Benefits
- Fully remote
- Weekly pay, at and above industry standard
- Paid vacation and holidays
- Health and learning stipends
- Access to AI training and tools
- Clear paths to advancement
This Role Isn't for Everyone
