Customer Service & Sales Support Coordinator

SHEPHERD FILTERS

QueenslandFull-timeMid LevelOn-site

Job Description

Elanora, Gold Coast – On-site
Permanent part-time | 30–35 hours | Monday to Friday
$35 per hour + super, depending on experience

Good with people, good at solving problems - and good at following things through?

Shepherd Filters is looking for someone who can build customer relationships, follow up opportunities, resolve problems and keep the paperwork organised.

This is a varied customer-focused role combining customer service, sales support and administration.

You don’t need experience in our industry. If you’ve worked in account management, internal sales, customer service, hospitality sales or another fast-paced customer environment, you may be exactly the person we’re looking for.

Why you might enjoy this role

  • Stable hours from Monday to Friday
  • Full training in our products and systems
  • Varied work - your days won’t all look the same
  • The opportunity to build genuine, long-term customer relationships
  • Autonomy to manage your responsibilities and solve problems once trained
  • A supportive small team where your contribution will be noticed
  • The opportunity to become a long-term and important part of a growing Australian business

About the role

Shepherd Filters is an Australian business with customers throughout Australia and internationally.

We already have a Business Development Manager focused on developing new business and a Customer Order & Supplier Administrator managing orders, shipments and day-to-day administration.

We now need someone who can work across the middle—supporting our customers, helping move sales opportunities forward and ensuring everything is properly followed through.

This is not a high-pressure or commission-only sales position. It is a customer relationship and sales support role for someone comfortable speaking with customers, asking for an order and helping solve problems.

What you’ll be doing

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Calling and building relationships with existing customers
  • Following up reorders, quotes, samples and sales opportunities
  • Supporting our Business Development Manager
  • Responding to customer enquiries and resolving problems
  • Preparing quotes and customer correspondence
  • Keeping our CRM and customer information up to date
  • Helping with orders, invoicing and shipments when required
  • Following tasks through until they are completed

Some days you’ll be helping move a sales opportunity forward.

Some days you’ll be solving a customer problem.

Some days you’ll be helping the team get an urgent order out.

That’s what makes the role varied.

The person we’re looking for

We’d particularly like to hear from people with experience in:

Account management | Internal sales | Customer service | Hospitality sales | Sales support | Customer relationship management

You’ll be someone who:

  • Enjoys talking to people and naturally builds relationships
  • Is confident picking up the phone
  • Can ask for an order without feeling uncomfortable
  • Can handle objections and difficult conversations calmly
  • Uses common sense and looks for solutions
  • Is organised and accurate with paperwork
  • Can manage several priorities without losing track
  • Follows things through without needing constant reminders
  • Learns quickly and responds well to feedback
  • Enjoys being part of a small, supportive team

You need to be comfortable with both sides

This role needs someone who can have the customer conversation, help achieve the result and then complete the administration properly.

You don’t need to be an aggressive salesperson - but you do need to be comfortable discussing orders and helping move opportunities forward.

You also don’t need to be a career administrator - but you must be organised and willing to keep records, paperwork and follow-ups accurate.

A little about us

Shepherd Filters manufactures an Australian-developed disposable kitchen grease filtration system used by commercial kitchens and businesses throughout Australia and internationally.

We are a small team based in Elanora, and everyone contributes. You’ll work closely with our Business Development Manager, administrator and founder.

You’ll receive training in our products, customers and systems. As your knowledge and confidence grow, you’ll have the autonomy to manage customer relationships, organise your priorities and resolve many day-to-day matters independently.
