Job Description

Uniform Works Limited is hiring a Customer Service Representative for our new Mississauga location. This multifaceted role is ideal for someone with strong customer service experience, junior account management exposure, and a background in supply chain who enjoys supporting customers both in person and through phone and email communication. The successful candidate will be supporting our customers in Police, Fire, EMS, and other public safety customers visiting our showroom for uniforms, footwear, and accessories, while also assisting with end-to-end order management and full-tier customer service and support.

The CSR will report to the Manager, Customer Experience & Key Accounts (Ontario & Quebec).


The ideal candidate is an energetic outgoing individual who is an exceptionally organized person. To be successful in this customer service role; multitasking and strong problem-solving skills are essential.


  • Providing general sales and administrative support and performing a wide variety of tasks
  • Greet and assist walk-in customers โ€” including active-duty police, fire, and EMS personnel โ€” helping them select correctly fitted uniforms, footwear, and accessories that meet department specifications
  • Provide outstanding customer service via phone and email โ€“ identifying customer needs, place accurate orders, providing order status, handling basic invoice requests and credit/returns.
  • Provide all available products and pricing to the customer so they can make an informed purchasing decision. Recommend products to exceed customer expectations and support add-on sales.
  • Efficiently and accurately record all order/purchase order information including price, discounts, ship-to address, and ship via, item numbers, quantity and any notes related to the order or customer.
  • Document inbound inquiries with correct call disposition and resolution for proper tracking and reporting.
  • Initiates orders for replacement parts and/or for correcting errors (shortages, wrong items shipped, etc.)
  • Utilize decision making and trouble-shooting skills to resolve customer concerns (i.e. freight costs, warranty guidelines, pricing, return orders, shipment delays and product concerns)
  • Efficiently maintain ID verification process for restricted items
  • Any other tasks reasonably assigned by management to help support the sales team, including but not limited to shipping/receiving.


Qualifications

  • College or university education preferred, with a focus on Business Administration or a related field.
  • 2โ€“5 years of experience in customer service, office administration, junior account management, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and related applications.
  • Exposure to or experience using NetSuite is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes, including order flow, inventory, shipping, receiving, and customer fulfillment.
  • Ability to triage customer needs, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions independently.
  • Empathetic, professional, and customer-focused approach when supporting customers and internal teams.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Fluency in French, written and verbal, is considered an asset but is not required.
  • Candidates may be asked to complete a criminal background and credit check before starting in the position


Role Details

  • This is an onsite role based at our new Mississauga location.
  • Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Salary range is $48,000 to $53,000, depending on experience.
