Customer Service

Peries IGA Supermarket Group is seeking a Customer Service team member to join our store in Edmonton, QLD. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst providing you with an excellent opportunity to become a valued member of our retail team. You will be the face of our supermarket, ensuring every customer receives outstanding service and support during their shopping experience.

This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for exceptional customer care and creating a welcoming environment for all who visit our store.

What you'll be doing

In this Customer Service role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep our store running smoothly and our customers satisfied:

• Providing friendly, efficient and professional service to all customers at the checkout and throughout the store
• Processing customer transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
• Assisting customers with product enquiries, locating items and answering questions about our store
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and well-organised store environment
• Restocking shelves and displays with merchandise in a neat and attractive manner
• Handling customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and care, seeking solutions where possible
• Following company policies and procedures, including health and safety requirements
• Working collaboratively with team members to ensure the store operates efficiently during all shifts
• Supporting promotional activities and in-store events as required

What we're looking for

To excel in this Customer Service position, we are seeking candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers
• A friendly, approachable person who has a passion for providing outstanding customer service
• The ability to remain calm and patient in busy retail environments
• Basic numeracy skills and comfort with point-of-sale systems (training will be provided)
• Reliability and a strong work ethic, with flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends
• A team-oriented mindset with willingness to support colleagues
