Role Description The Customer Service Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cornelius, NC. In this position, the individual will serve as a primary point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring that policy information is accurate and up to date. Daily responsibilities include managing client accounts, processing policy changes, preparing and reviewing documentation, and coordinating with internal teams and carriers to support client needs.
The role involves proactively communicating with clients about renewals, coverage options, and service updates, as well as maintaining detailed records in the agency management system. The Customer Service Account Manager is expected to provide consistent, professional service and contribute to a positive and collaborative office environment.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and client relationship skills, with the ability to handle inquiries, concerns, and account needs professionally.
- Solid communication and interpersonal abilities, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when processing policy changes, documentation, and data entry.
- Basic proficiency with office software, agency management systems, and online tools used for insurance account management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and carriers, while also managing responsibilities independently.
- Prior experience in property and casualty insurance or a related customer-facing role is preferred.
- Relevant state insurance licensing (or willingness to obtain), along with a high school diploma or equivalent;
post-secondary education is a plus.
