Role Description The Field Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX, responsible for supporting the physical upkeep and inspection of managed residential properties. Daily tasks include performing routine property inspections, documenting conditions with photos and detailed notes, and reporting maintenance needs to the office team. The role involves coordinating and overseeing minor repairs, verifying vendor work quality, and ensuring properties meet safety and habitability standards.

The Field Technician will respond to service requests, assist with move-in and move-out evaluations, and maintain accurate records in company systems. Collaboration with property owners, residents, and vendors is essential to ensure timely resolution of issues and consistent property condition.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform property inspections, identify maintenance issues, and document findings clearly and accurately.
  • Basic knowledge of residential building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) and minor repair practices.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple site visits and tasks each day.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with residents, property owners, and vendors.
  • Comfort using mobile devices and software for scheduling, photo documentation, and report entry.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to properties throughout the Greater Houston area.
  • Ability to work on-site, including walking properties, climbing stairs, and performing light physical tasks as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
    experience in property management, maintenance, or field service roles is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
