Miami, FL – Cost Manager (Owner’s Representative) Base Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 We are working with a well-established Owner’s Representative Construction Consultancy firm in Miami seeking a Cost Manager with a strong background across estimating and cost management. This role supports a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, institutional, and mixed-use developments, with involvement spanning from early-stage planning through construction delivery. Position Overview The Cost Manager will serve as a key financial advisor to clients, taking ownership of core cost management and estimating functions across multiple projects.

This includes preparing independent estimates, managing budgets, reviewing and validating change orders, and supporting value analysis initiatives. You will be responsible for maintaining cost control across projects of varying size and complexity, contributing to feasibility studies, developing cost benchmarks, and producing detailed financial reporting. A critical part of this role is the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and value-driven solutions that align with client objectives and enhance overall project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain cost plans, budgets, and forecasting models throughout the project lifecycle Prepare detailed estimates and cost reports at various design stages Conduct quantity take-offs using industry-standard software tools Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications Manage RFIs, change orders, and cost variations Lead bid analysis and support procurement and tendering processes Provide cost advice, benchmarking, and value engineering recommendations Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure commercial alignment Ideal Candidate Profile We’re looking for someone who brings a forward-thinking and solutions-driven mindset, with the ability to take ownership of project costs while maintaining strong client relationships. Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline Proven experience in cost planning, estimating, and cost control across building projects Background working on vertical construction within commercial, institutional, or industrial sectors Strong understanding of both early-stage estimating and detailed pricing Familiarity with modern procurement approaches and contractor engagement processes Proficiency in estimating platforms, on-screen takeoff tools, and BIM environments Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documentation with confidence Professional certifications or affiliations are advantageous This is an in-office role.
