Cost Accountant

Coopman Search & Selection are delighted to partner with an International Insurance company based in Dublin who are looking to hire a Cost Accountant on 12 month fixed term contract.

The Job:

The Cost Accountant will be part of a team providing Planning, budgeting, actual reporting and forecasting services.

It will provide Senior Leaders with support making effective decisions that drives Business performance and the achievement of the Division’s financial and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Partner with leaders to develop their financial knowledge and prepare monthly financial outlooks.
• Provide objective financial options that positively impact on the future choices of the business.
• Support the annual business planning and budgeted process.
• Provide financial evaluation, financial modelling and analysis.
• Proactively contribute to the successful implementation of the Division’s strategy.
• Identify areas for process improvement.
• Maintain timely and accurate management reports.
• Contribute to the month end processes.
• Support preparation of Business cases.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

• Newly qualified accountant - 2+ years post qualified experience – ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Previous Cost Accounting or Financial Analyst experience an advantage.
• The successful candidate will have a high level of self-motivation.
• Enthusiastic and able to represent the company in a professional manner.
