The Role
This is far more than a traditional month-end accounting role. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you'll partner with senior leaders across the business, providing meaningful insights that influence decision-making and business performance.
You will gain exposure to a diverse range of responsibilities across financial reporting, cash flow management, forecasting, treasury, business partnering and strategic projects. With ongoing transformation initiatives underway, you'll also have the opportunity to identify process improvements, drive efficiencies and contribute to projects that create lasting impact.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver insightful financial analysis and reporting.
- Prepare monthly management reports, commentary and performance analysis.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and group consolidation activities.
- Develop and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts.
- Support treasury activities, including foreign currency transactions and hedge management.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes.
- Manage lease accounting and associated reconciliations.
- Complete BAS and compliance reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve reporting efficiency.
- Contribute to business improvement and strategic finance projects.
The Candidate
- CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion.
- Experience within a Corporate Accountant, Senior Financial Accountant or similar role.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting capability.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
- Proven experience preparing budgets, forecasts and cash flow analysis.
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
- Naturally curious, proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
- Someone who enjoys improving processes and challenging the status quo.
- Experience within manufacturing, agriculture, FMCG or other complex commercial environments will be highly regarded.
