Job Description

This role can be based in our San Francisco, CA or Los Angeles, CA office.

Role Accountability and Duties

  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable web applications using JavaScript and modern frameworks, specifically React and Node.js.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver high‑quality software solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code following industry best practices.
  • Optimize application performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth user experiences.
  • Implement and maintain API integrations with third‑party services and internal systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to end users.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating them into work as appropriate.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or a related technical field (experience may be considered for highly qualified applicants).
  • 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on React and Node.js.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining large‑scale web applications.
  • In‑depth knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front‑end frameworks.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating front‑end interfaces with backend services.
  • Strong understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Experience working in an Agile, fast‑paced development environment.
  • Ability to translate organizational and user requirements into quality code.
  • Professional and effective communication with team members and customers.
  • Creative problem‑solving skills with logic and tenacity.
  • Ability to work independently on complex tasks with little direction.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of database management systems, including MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Expertise in microservices architecture.
  • Advanced skills in Python programming.
  • Solid experience with PHP development.

Salary range: $150,000–$170,000 per year, based on experience.
