Job Description
This role can be based in our San Francisco, CA or Los Angeles, CA office.
Role Accountability and Duties
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable web applications using JavaScript and modern frameworks, specifically React and Node.js.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver high‑quality software solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code following industry best practices.
- Optimize application performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth user experiences.
- Implement and maintain API integrations with third‑party services and internal systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to end users.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating them into work as appropriate.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Computer Science or a related technical field (experience may be considered for highly qualified applicants).
- 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on React and Node.js.
- Proven experience building and maintaining large‑scale web applications.
- In‑depth knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front‑end frameworks.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating front‑end interfaces with backend services.
- Strong understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience working in an Agile, fast‑paced development environment.
- Ability to translate organizational and user requirements into quality code.
- Professional and effective communication with team members and customers.
- Creative problem‑solving skills with logic and tenacity.
- Ability to work independently on complex tasks with little direction.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of database management systems, including MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Expertise in microservices architecture.
- Advanced skills in Python programming.
- Solid experience with PHP development.

Salary range: $150,000–$170,000 per year, based on experience.
