Controls Maintenance Engineer Location: Redditch, Worcestershire Salary: ยฃ65,000 Shift Pattern: Rotating Shift Pattern (details available upon application) The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Controls Maintenance Engineer to join a leading global automotive manufacturing business based in Redditch. Working within a fast-paced, high-volume production environment, you'll play a key role in maintaining, fault-finding, and improving automated manufacturing equipment to maximise plant uptime and production efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer investing in automation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Carry out electrical and controls fault finding on automated production machinery. Diagnose and rectify PLC, HMI and automation faults to minimise downtime. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and performance. Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Assist with commissioning, upgrades and modifications to existing equipment. Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Controls or Electrical Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.

Strong PLC fault-finding experience with: Siemens PLCs Allen-Bradley PLCs Experience working with ABB robotic systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. Experience with automated production equipment and industrial control systems.

Strong fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills. Time-served apprenticeship or recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent) in Electrical, Automation or Controls Engineering. What's on Offer Salary ยฃ65,000 .
