Job Description
Civils Contracts Manager with experience in the rail sector wanted to join a leading infrastructure contractor, based in the Manchester area. This is an office based role, with site visits. Responsibilities: Manage multiple civil engineering schemes in the rail, water and energy sectors, ensuring timely completion according to client specifications, safely and within budget Agree contract details with client and ensure sign-off prior to works commencing Ensure programme of works in line with contractual agreement Manage the team, including Project Managers, Construction Managers and Site Managers plus admin staff Lead on SHEQ Accurate planning of resources and materials in line with project requirements Make sure the following are all in place - Health and Safety Plans, Construction Phase Plans, Work Package Plans, Quality Plans and Environmental Management Plans Ensure projects are completed in line with client requirements Coordinate and manage team, including sub-contractor resource and external consultants, ensuring programme and cost milestones / targets are met Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including client, suppliers, sub-contractors etc Conduct site inspections and risk assessments Assist the commercial and SHEQ teams, providing documentation when called upon Requirements: To be considered for this role, previous experience as a Contracts Manager for civil engineering works within the railway industry is essential.
