Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon – Trauma & Pelvic Surgery | Permanent | Greater Manchester | £113,565–£150,569 We are recruiting for a permanent Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Trauma and Pelvic Surgery , based at a major NHS Foundation Trust in Greater Manchester. The role: ✅ Substantive Consultant post — 10 PA job plan (8.5 DCC / 1.5 SPA) ✅ Comprehensive pelvic trauma service, including polytrauma management ✅ General trauma on-call rota, fracture clinic, and elective hip arthroplasty ✅ Participation in the Major Trauma Centre consultant of the week rota ✅ On-call frequency: 1:16 ✅ Flexible working across a large multi-site Trust footprint, with strong teaching and research links to a major UK medical school Salary: £113,565 – £150,569, depending on consultant-level experience Essential requirements: Entry on the GMC Specialist Register (or expected within 6 months) — required for this permanent post FRCS (Tr&Orth) Completed fellowship in trauma surgery including pelvic trauma (minimum 6 months) Primary interest in trauma surgery, with the ability to offer expert opinion across both emergency and elective pelvic surgery This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading teaching Trust with excellent training, research, and career development opportunities.
