MEP Estimator Atlanta, GA | Full-Time We’re supporting a leading contractor in their search for an experienced MEP Estimator to join their growing preconstruction team in Atlanta. This is a great opportunity to work across complex, high-value projects—including mission critical environments—playing a key role from early-stage design through to delivery. The Role: You’ll take ownership of MEP estimating across multiple live opportunities, producing accurate cost plans and supporting project teams throughout the full preconstruction lifecycle.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors, you’ll help shape project strategy, manage risk, and ensure commercial confidence from the outset. Key Responsibilities: Review drawings, specifications, and MEP packages to develop accurate cost plans Carry out detailed quantity take-offs across assigned projects Identify scope gaps and ensure full coverage within estimates Engage and build relationships with subcontractors and supply chain partners Manage tender enquiries and secure competitive pricing across multiple trades Oversee subcontractor pricing across a portfolio of projects, typically ranging between $50M–$150M annually Analyse bids for compliance, cost accuracy, and commercial alignment Lead discussions with subcontractors to clarify scope and resolve queries Support bid strategy, packaging, and overall preconstruction planning Attend client meetings, presenting estimates and addressing technical queries Contribute to change order pricing, site visits, and bid submissions Maintain awareness of market trends, pricing movements, and regulatory changes Track estimates using relevant software and maintain accurate cost data Review project outcomes, comparing estimated vs actual costs to drive continuous improvement About You: Degree qualified in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field 5+ years’ experience in estimating, project engineering, or similar within a main contractor environment Strong MEP knowledge, ideally with exposure to mission critical projects Commercially astute with excellent analytical and organisational skills Confident working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Strong communicator, able to engage effectively with clients and supply chain partners Open to candidates transitioning from site-based roles into preconstruction Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Experience with estimating and cost planning software Strong understanding of budgeting, procurement, and cost control processes Why Apply?
