Job Description
Lead Configurator (8โ12 Years) Role Purpose The Lead Configurator is responsible for leading configuration activities across customer implementations and ensuring consistent, scalable, and high-quality configurations across IAN products. The role acts as the configuration lead for implementation teams, guiding Configurators, establishing standards and best practices, and driving reuse of configuration assets across customer implementations. The Lead Configurator works closely with Business Analysts, Implementation Architects, QA teams, and Product Teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate configuration activities across customer implementations. Translate business and functional requirements into scalable configuration solutions aligned with platform capabilities and implementation standards. Configure and govern workflow automation, business rules, forms, integrations, user access controls, and related platform capabilities.
Review and validate configuration deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, maintainability, and adherence to implementation best practices Guide FEEL (Friendly Enough Expression Language), Camel, form.io, and other Configurators on solution configuration and implementation approaches. Drive reuse of configuration assets, templates, accelerators, and implementation patterns. Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, and production readiness activities.
Collaborate with Business Analysts and Implementation Architects during solution design, estimation, and implementation planning. Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex configuration issues. Contribute to implementation playbooks, governance processes, and capability development initiatives.
Mentor and onboard Configurators and promote knowledge sharing across implementation teams. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. 8โ12 years of experience in enterprise software implementation, workflow automation, configurable enterprise platforms, or low-code/no-code solutions. Strong experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain; Knowledge of Commercial Lines and Specialty Insurance, considered an advantage.
Strong understanding of workflow automation platforms, configuration-driven solutions, and implementation methodologies. Proficiency in JSON, JavaScript, and configuration-based application development and business automation solutions. Strong experience configuring BPMN-based workflow automation and process orchestration platforms such as Camunda, Flowable, Appian, n8n, or similar technologies.
Good understanding of decision modeling, business rules management, and rule-based automation frameworks such as FEEL, DMN, Drools, IBM ODM, or similar technologies. Good understanding of Apache Camel, integration patterns, connector configuration, and API-driven integrations. Good understanding of form.io forms, or similar low-code/no-code form development platforms.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment processes Experience leading configuration activities across multiple customer implementations. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience working with insurance carriers and clients across North America or Europe.
Excellent communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills. Desired Skills Demonstrated ability and willingness to cross-skill across workflow automation, business rules, integrations, forms, AI-enabled solutions, and other implementation technologies. Exposure to cloud platforms, infrastructure concepts, and DevOps practices.
Experience with document processing, intelligent extraction, or AI-enabled automation solutions. Agile/Scrum delivery experience. Relevant certifications in workflow automation, BPM, low-code/no-code platforms, or Agile methodologies.
