Job Description
Location: HEALTH CARE CENTER BRF Department: Health Summary: POSITION OVERVIEW Works on a multidisciplinary team in a patient centered care setting providing home healthcare to Native Americans. This position will be an intricate part in achieving the departments visions, mission and program objectives, ensuring compliance with home health requirements and providing senior management, leadership and healthcare expertise. Collaborating with physicians within and outside our clinics on patient cares throughout the community health service area.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: 1. Possess a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing (DNP) degree. 2. Nurse Practitioner, family practice preferred, certified from an accredited governing body.
ESSENTIAL: 1. Current valid Registered Nurse license for the State of Wisconsin in good standing. 2. Possess a State of Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber. 3.
Posses or be eligible to posses a controlled substance registration certification from the Drug Enforcement Agency. 4. Possess and maintains current BLS and ACLS certification. 5. Must maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Act/HIPAA. 6.
Possess a valid driver's license, dependable transportation and proper insurance. EXPERIENCE: 1. Previous supervisory experience in home health setting preferred. 2.
Minimum five-year experience as a Registered Nurse; preferably in-home care setting. 3. Preferred working knowledge and contracting experience with Managed Care Organizations. 4. Possess advanced computer skills and has experience with using electronic health records. 5.
Experience with quality improvement to assist with remaining in compliance with State and Federal licensing standards.
