Job Description
We arelooking to strengthen our Delivery team with a Commissioning Manager, Site & Office based within the Thames Water Region for our Water or Waste portfolio.
You will report directly to the Operations Manager for the Region.You will deliver commissioning planning and commissioning activities for all projects under your remit through the existing team of experienced commissioning staff. For these projects, you will also provide ownership of the commissioning process through all stages of a project lifecycle and achieve efficiencies associated with handover to the client.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Resource management for projects in your remit
- Effective engagement with Operations management teams to ensure safe and timely commissioning involvement.
- Direct management of Senior Commissioning and Commissioning Engineers who provide day to day management and coordination of project commissioning activities.
- Management of providing early input to commissioning plans and proposals work.
- Management of the Process Safety procedures to ensure safe progression into and through commissioning on site.
- Develop and operate an optimised interface with the MWHT engineering team to ensure "design for commissioning".
- Facilitate feedback of improvement information from commissioning.
- Drive efficiencies and operate tight change control procedures.
- Monitor, measure and report on performance and drive continuous improvement
- Develop and improve commissioning processes and systems.
About you
- Relevant degree (electrical, mechanical or process) or other relevant qualificationSite experience in commissioning, preferably in water industryElectrical SAP qualification desirable but not requiredPrevious experience as a commissioning manager within a process industry and similar size of company.Experience managing commissioning teamsComfortable and able to commute to all sites within the Thames region. Our projects are part of the London area Thames Water capital delivery plan,Hybrid working - 80% on site or in the office position and 20% work from home depending on the needs of the role.
