Electrical Commissioning Engineer – Biogas Plant (Contract Role) Location: West Midlands, UK – On-site Contract Type: Freelance / Contract Duration: 12 Months Start Date: ASAP Rate: DOE (Day Rate) Working Pattern: 5 days per week (on-site) Travel: Open to travel as required The Opportunity We are currently supporting a biogas plant project in the renewable energy sector and are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join on a contract basis. This is an on-site role based around Birmingham, supporting key commissioning phases of the plant. Key Responsibilities Execute electrical commissioning activities on a biogas plant Perform I/O checks and loop checks Support both cold and hot commissioning phases Work with Siemens PLC systems Maintain effective communication with the client and project stakeholders Provide on-site technical support throughout commissioning Requirements Strong electrical engineering background Proven experience commissioning industrial or process plants Hands-on experience with Siemens PLC systems Experience with I/O checks and commissioning procedures Previous biogas experience is highly desirable Candidates with an oil & gas background will also be considered Must be based locally to Birmingham (±15 miles) Willingness to travel if required How to Apply If you are interested, please send your CV along with your availability.
