Andersens Direct Pty Ltd t/a Andersens Saints Road Andersens, “The Respected Name in Floor Coverings,” is seeking an experienced Commercial Sales & Marketing Manager to lead commercial growth across the Adelaide region. This senior role blends technical flooring expertise, specification selling, and strategic marketing to deliver commercial flooring solutions across construction, fit-out, education, healthcare, retail, and multi-residential sectors. You will work closely with architects, builders, designers, and project managers to deliver technically sound, compliant, and cost-effective flooring systems.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, deep technical flooring knowledge, and the ability to influence specifications at early design stages. You will also lead targeted marketing initiatives to grow Andersens’ commercial presence and position the business as a trusted technical authority in flooring solutions.

Task & responsibilities

• Lead specification of flooring systems across commercial projects
• Conduct site inspections, including subfloor and moisture assessments
• Interpret construction drawings and tender documentation
• Provide compliant, fit-for-purpose flooring recommendations
• Ensure alignment with Australian Standards
• Develop and manage commercial sales pipeline
• Prepare accurate quotations and proposals
• Manage projects from specification through to installation
• Oversee variations, margins, and project risk
• Collaborate with installers and internal teams
• Develop and execute commercial marketing strategy
• Identify new opportunities across key sectors
• Build brand presence through networking and industry engagement
• Strengthen relationships with builders, architects, and designers
• Act as trusted technical advisor to clients and consultants
• Manage expectations and resolve technical or project issues
• Maintain long-term commercial relationships
• Maintain accurate records, quotes, and documentation
• Ensure compliance with company systems and safety standards
• Maintain detailed project reporting

Qualification & experience

• Minimum 8+ years’ experience in flooring industry (essential)
• Strong background in commercial flooring sales and specification
• Experience working with architects, builders, and project managers
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documents
• Knowledge of flooring systems including carpet, vinyl, hybrid, timber, and resilient products
• Understanding of subfloor preparation, moisture management, and installation methodologies
• Strong negotiation, consultative sales, and commercial pricing skills
• Experience developing proposals, pricing models, and margin strategies
