Commercial Construction Superintendent

Job Description Job Description The Commercial Construction Superintendent will lead and oversee the management of small project teams (5-10 members) on various commercial construction ventures including industrial facilities, mass grading, and parking lot construction. This role involves direct supervision of subcontractors with a strong focus on quality control, safety compliance, and schedule coordination, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Project and Buildertrend to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to specification. Responsibilities Oversee project execution from start to finish, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications Manage the construction site, maintaining organization and safety standards Implement and enforce quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies Coordinate and adjust project schedules to meet deadlines using Microsoft Project and Buildertrend Directly supervise subcontractors and manage their daily activities Allocate resources efficiently to optimize project performance Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress and quality Prepare and submit comprehensive project reports to stakeholders Utilize survey equipment and grading tools in order to confirm work is being completed within tolerance Required Qualifications Associate's degree in Construction Management or related field Preferred Qualifications 5+ years experience in commercial construction OSHA Safety Certification Construction Superintendent License Experience with construction scheduling Blueprint reading proficiency Strong safety management skills Demonstrated team leadership abilities Effective communication and problem-solving skills Excellent time management Company Description Growing, San Diego Based Residential and Commertial General Contractor.
