Collections Manager

BatteryPool is building India’s battery monetization and distribution platform for electric mobility — enabling affordable battery access through Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), financing, and payment technology. We’re scaling with a lean, AI-driven operations engine, not headcount.

Role:

Own the operational health of BatteryPool’s battery portfolio — collections, delinquency management, repossessions/recoveries, and NBFC settlements — while building scalable, tech-first processes as the business grows. This isn’t a traditional collections role; it’s for someone who’d rather build systems than run them manually.

What You’ll Own

• Portfolio Health — Track collection efficiency, delinquency, and risk; spot early warning signs and drive down NPAs.

• Collections & Recoveries — Run structured follow-ups on overdue accounts; manage repossessions; keep improving collection outcomes through data and automation.

• NBFC Operations — Ensure accurate, on-time settlements with lending partners; reconcile collections against lender obligations; tighten controls to eliminate errors.

• Technology & AI — Build dashboards for real-time decisions; use AI to automate follow-ups, prioritization, exceptions, and reconciliations; partner with product/engineering to keep improving internal tools.

• Process Excellence — Write SOPs and playbooks; define KPIs and SLAs; scale operations without scaling headcount.

What We’re Looking For

•      3–6 years in portfolio operations, collections, lending ops, fintech, NBFCs, or credit ops.

•      Strong with numbers — advanced Excel/Sheets, comfortable building and reading operational dashboards.

•      FinOps background preferred — experience with financial reconciliations, settlements, or lending operations is a strong plus.

•      A systems thinker, not just an executor.

•      Strong ownership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Bonus Points

Experience in vehicle/EV/asset-backed financing; familiarity with CRM, SQL, BI tools, or AI copilots; track record scaling fast-growing operations.
